Privacy notice
This notice explains how Novus Actus ApS handles personal data through novusactus.com and when responding to enquiries.
Privacy notice details
Who we are
Novus Actus ApS is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Our CVR number is 41234733 and our address is Viggo Rothes Vej 18, 2920 Charlottenlund, Denmark. Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to brian@novusactus.com or made by telephone on +45 2937 1733.
What personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may process your name, employer, job title, work email address, telephone number and information you choose to provide in an enquiry, meeting request or email. We may also process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, referring page, pages visited and timestamps, together with your cookie and consent choices. Please do not include confidential employee information in a website enquiry.
Why we use personal data and our legal basis
We use contact details and enquiry content to respond, arrange requested conversations, prepare proposals and provide consulting services. This is based on our legitimate interest in communicating with prospective and existing clients, steps you ask us to take before entering a contract, or performance of a contract. We process limited technical information to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website on the basis of our legitimate interests. Optional marketing measurement and lead identification are used only with consent. We may also retain relevant records to meet legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where the data comes from
We normally receive personal data directly from you. We may also receive business contact information from your employer, a colleague, a referral source or publicly available professional sources where this is relevant to a legitimate business relationship.
Who we share personal data with
Authorised Novus Actus consultants and administrative support may receive enquiry details where needed to respond and arrange a conversation. We may also use suppliers for website hosting, email, cloud storage, IT support, customer relationship management, campaign services and professional advice. Where a supplier acts as our processor, it may use personal data only under our documented instructions and contractual safeguards. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
B2B outreach
From time to time, Novus Actus appoints digital marketing agencies to conduct relevant business-to-business outreach. Business contact information may be obtained from professional sources and used where our legitimate interests in introducing our services are not overridden by the individual’s rights. Prospect Global Limited, trading as Sopro (UK company 09648733; ICO registration ZA346877), supports these activities. Sopro’s privacy information is available at https://sopro.io/legal/ and its Data Protection Officer may be contacted at dpo@sopro.io. You may object to direct marketing at any time and we will stop using your data for that purpose.
Website campaign measurement
Sopro provides optional website campaign measurement and lead-identification technology for Novus Actus. After Marketing consent, it may receive cookie identifiers, IP address, browser and device information, page URLs, query parameters, referrers, timestamps and visit-duration signals. The integration is restricted to the Novus Actus production domain and does not receive website enquiry answers. Consent can be withdrawn at any time through Cookie settings.
Website statistics (Plausible)
After Statistics consent, Plausible measures page visits, outbound link clicks, file downloads, form submission events and engagement. It does not set analytics cookies and does not receive the answers entered into our enquiry form. Statistics and Sopro Marketing permissions are separate. You can withdraw either through Cookie settings.
International transfers
Some suppliers may process personal data outside the EU or EEA. Where this occurs, we use a lawful transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with supplementary safeguards where appropriate. You may contact us for more information about safeguards used for a particular transfer.
How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of legal, accounting and documentation requirements. Unsuccessful or inactive general enquiries are normally deleted or anonymised within 24 months after the last meaningful contact. Client and contractual records may be kept for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the period required by applicable bookkeeping, limitation and documentation rules. Technical logs are retained for a limited period determined by security and hosting needs. Consent records are retained for the period stated in the Cookie notice.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in data-protection law, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, deletion, restriction of processing, or a portable copy of certain data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may object to direct marketing at any time, without giving a reason, and processing for that purpose will stop. You may also withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Complaints
You may complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet. Information about complaints and current contact details is available on the authority’s official website.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Links and third-party services
The website may link to third-party websites or use embedded services. Those providers process personal data under their own privacy notices. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of independent third parties.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our website, services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published here with its most recent update date.
